John Carpenter, M.D. has practiced family medicine since 1989, receiving his B.A. at Bridgewater College, and his M.S. and M.D. at the University of Virginia. He is a member of the state and county medical society (past president), and is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Carpenter enjoys outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, and woodworking.
Ernest Pugh, M.D. attended William and Mary and the University of Virginia School of Medicine. After practicing in Durham, N.C. and volunteering in Micronesia, he returned to practice in Charlottesville in 1991. He is board certified and is the past chief of the Family Medicine Section at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Dr. Pugh enjoys photography and fishing, and loves raising his three active daughters.
